Red chinchompas are commonly used for quickly levelling up Ranged, creating a constant demand for them.

To maximise profit, one should have charged horn of plenty equipped while catching chinchompas. Horn of plenty increases catch success rate and gives a 1/10 chance to catch two chinchompas at a time. Overall, this increases hourly catch rate by ~10%. Guild hunter outfit may also be worn to slightly increase catch rate, but this has much smaller impact on hourly catch rate than horn of plenty does.

The most easily accessible location to hunt them is south of the fairy ring (AKS) by the south-western corner of the Feldip Hunter area. Upon arrival, it is recommended to kill at least one to see where it respawns so that traps can be set accordingly near the respawn tiles. Kill any chinchompa that wanders off and quickly reset the traps if necessary. Around 240 chinchompas can be caught per hour at low levels with horn of plenty equipped. This increases to upwards of 370 catches per hour at higher levels.

The best place to catch them is the Chinchompa Island, which can be accessed via boat with level 42 Sailing. Other great locations are The Great Conch southern hunting area, Gwenith Hunter area, and red chinchompa hunting ground, which all have different requirements to access as listed above. These areas either have more chinchompa spawns close to each other, and/or the geography of the area prevents chinchompas from wandering far from their spawn location. At level 80, players can catch around 450-500 red chinchompas, making the hourly profit 660,297 to 737,356. At higher levels, upwards of 640 red chinchompas can be caught per hour, making the hourly profit 943,789.
