The profit rate assumes you are killing The Whisperer with magic and averaging 20 kills per hour. This calculator's default estimate assumes the player is using excellent equipment, has maximum combat stats and will not take unnecessary damage to get the additional 50% loot from the standard drop table. Your actual profits will likely vary depending on your speed, luck and how often you take avoidable damage or die.

Using Tumeken's shadow with best-in-slot gear and a venator bow will result in 20 kills an hour and food becomes essentially optional, as one of the boss' mechanics heal the player when the specific trigger is dealt with, and unlike the other Desert Treasure II bosses, the Whisperer does not possess any form of chip damage. If the player is using a trident of the swamp or sangunesti staff, the kills per hour will significantly drop to around 16 kills an hour, hampering profit rates. The guide assumes the player is using best-in-slot gear.

The Whisperer has some of the best common drops out of the four bosses, having the highest quantities out of all the Desert Treasure II bosses, especially runite ore (in batches of 46/69), battlestaves (70/105). Due to the higher costs of magic and having the highest health of the four bosses, she also has the highest drop rate chances, with a 1/34.5 rate for an awakener's orb and a 1/64 chance at the unique drop table, of which there is a 3/8 roll for progress towards a bellator vestige or a chromium ingot and a 1/8 chance for a siren's staff and virtus robes (of which 1/3 roll is made for the determinate piece), making the effective drop rate of virtus robes 1/1536.

Note: The profit per hour assumes the player crafts the Soulreaper axe using the siren's staff, which requires one to obtain a similarly rare drop from each of three other bosses. If the player does not complete the axe, they can expect much lower profits.
