The iron battleaxe is the second-weakest battleaxe in Old School RuneScape, being more powerful than the bronze battleaxe. Like all iron weapons, it can be wielded at level 1 Attack.

Players can make an iron battleaxe with level 25 Smithing using three iron bars, giving 75 experience. It is a slashing weapon, which makes it good for monsters with a slash weakness. Players can purchase this battleaxe from Brian's Battleaxe Bazaar in Port Sarim and Bob's Brilliant Axes shop in Lumbridge.
