Iron javelin | OSRS Index

The iron javelin is a type of member's only Ranged ammunition used by the light and heavy ballistas. They are the second weakest type of javelin. As with most javelins, they can be poisoned.

They can be fletched by attaching iron javelin tips to javelin shafts at level 17 Fletching, granting 30 experience per 15 javelins made. They can also be obtained by buying them from the Ranging Guild, the Void Knight Archery Store or from Oobapohk's Javelin Store after Monkey Madness II.

31 October 2016	Hotfix The Ranged Strength bonus of iron javelins has been decreased from +50 to +42.^[1]
6 May 2016 (Update)	Iron javelins are no longer equipable in the Weapon slot, now being equipable in the Ammunition slot as ammo for ballistae. The Ranged Attack bonus has been removed; previously, it was +8. The Ranged Strength bonus has increased from +10 to +50.
20 September 2006 (Update)	The extra strong poisoned variant was renamed from "Iron javelin(+)" to "Iron javelin(p+)". The super strong poisoned variant was renamed from "Iron javelin(s)" to "Iron javelin(p++)".
