The profit rate assumes 20 kills per hour with max gear and combat stats. Your actual profits may be higher or lower depending on your actual kc/hour, your luck, and how fast you can bank in between trips.
See Maggot King/Strategies for a guide on killing the maggot king.
Magic or ranged are required for this boss, as the boss stands behind a wall at the beginning of the fight and cannot be reached with melee. The best options are ideally the harmonised nightmare staff coupled with fire Surge due to the boss' 80% elemental weakness to fire, or the zaryte crossbow coupled with ruby bolts (e) or ruby dragon bolts (e) because of the boss' high hitpoints. Using fire spells is more expensive, but can offer faster kill times, see here for a guide that assumes use of fire spells.
It is strongly recommended to have saved the Aranei scout to access a faster transport to the boss, and to have constructed the bank chest on Vampyrium. Due to the large distance to the bank, maximising trip length can have a significant effect on kills per hour.
The drop rates for the Crimson kisten and Elder venator fang are 1/520 and 1/340 respectively[1]. The approximate chance of receiving a unique item per kill is ~1/205.82.
