A Spicy worm was previously obtained during Gnome cooking when making a Worm batta. It could be made by adding Gnome spice to a King worm. This was then added to a Half baked batta alongside Cheese, then cooked to make an Unfinished batta.

As this process was unnecessarily intricate, it was altered with the Gnome Restaurant rework in 2006. Now, the king worm and gnome spice are all automatically added at once to create a Half made batta. If the player attempts to add gnome spice to a king worm, nothing happens.

Because the item was removed before 2007, it has never been present in Old School RuneScape. However, it remains in the game files.
