The Zanaris choir is one of the strange events that occur only while visiting the Lost City of Zanaris. They work like regular random events, but serve no apparent purpose.

The choir now functions as a normal NPC, rather than as a follower, allowing you to have a pet out at the same time as the choir and fixing a glitch allowing the choir to be taken out of Zanaris. |
