Flour was an item that could be obtained by killing black knights in RuneScape Classic. It could not normally be picked up, and players were intended to use a pot on it in order to obtain a pot of flour. However, it was possible to obtain the heap of flour by casting Telekinetic Grab. Upon the release of RuneScape 2, knights were changed to drop a regular pot of flour instead, initially making it one of the rarest discontinued items in the game.

Flour was inadvertently made obtainable again with the release of Player-owned Houses, as the Teak larder gave this item instead due to an oversight. Since it was useless in cooking, players could only bake by dropping the flour and picking it up with a pot.

As a result of this fiasco, all existing flour were transformed into pots of flour, including those obtained during RuneScape Classic. Therefore, it has never been obtainable in Old School RuneScape.
