The mystic steam staff (or) is a mystic steam staff with a steam staff upgrade kit attached to it. The kit gives no additional bonuses, and is only used to add aesthetics to the staff. It costs 660,387 coins for both the parts to make the steam staff (or). The staff provides unlimited amounts of water and fire runes as well as the autocast option when equipped.

About and uses

This staff can be also be created after the completion of the quest Scorpion Catcher by taking a steam battlestaff (or) and 40,000 coins to Thormac. After completion of the Hard Kandarin Diary and Elite Kandarin Diary, Thormac will only require 30,000 or 20,000 coins respectively.

While the staff is untradeable in its ornamented state, it can be reverted anytime, returning the mystic steam staff. However, the kit will not be returned.

If a player dies with the staff and it is not one of the player's protected items, the staff will revert to its default appearance, and players must use another steam staff upgrade kit to enhance its appearance again.

Trivia

The model for this item was originally polled as a graphical update for the steam battlestaff in Content Poll #22. It gained 69.9% yes votes, 5.1% short of the passing threshold required. The model was then polled as a cosmetic upgrade kit in the Old School Bounty Hunter Rewards 2 poll, and passed by 79.6%.
