The dark bow (bh) is a two-handed ranged weapon that requires level 60 in Ranged to wield. It is created by using a dark bow imbue scroll on a dark bow, which is purchased as a reward from Bounty Hunter.

The imbued bow has +105 Ranged attack, instead of the regular bow's +95. In addition, the minimum hit from the special attack is increased from 5 to 7 for non-dragon arrows, and from 8 to 10 for dragon arrows. The special attack's damage also rolls between the minimum and maximum damage, rather than zero to max.

In addition, it can only be used within Daimon's Crater, Castle Wars, Clan Wars, Soul Wars, the TzHaar Fight Pit, and both the player-owned house and Clan Hall combat rings; attempting to attack anything outside the listed areas will result in the player being interrupted from doing so.

If the player dies in Bounty Hunter with the item, the imbue scroll is kept, but the weapon is lost.

Special attack

A player performing one of the dark bow (bh)'s special attacks, Descent of Dragons.

The dark bow (bh) has a unique special attack comprised of two different attacks, both of which consume 55% of the player's special attack energy.

The 1st special attack, Descent of Darkness, deals up to 30% more damage with a minimum of 7 damage per arrow. The animation shows two arrows fired at the target, surrounded in a black shroud.

If the player has dragon arrows equipped, the 2nd special attack, Descent of Dragons, is used instead. This attack deals up to 50% more damage with a minimum of 10 damage per arrow, while capping the max hit at 48 damage per arrow.[1]

Lastly, the special attack damage also rolls between the minimum (7 or 10 depending on ammo) and maximum damage, rather than zero to max. This results in a higher average hit with the special attack when compared to the regular dark bow.
