Amethyst darts are Ranged throwing weapons. To wield them, the player must have at least 50 Ranged. They can be obtained by using the Mining, Crafting, and Fletching skills or trading with other players. Amethyst darts can be poisoned and are one-handed, so they can be wielded with a shield or god book for protection. To fletch amethyst darts, the player must have at least 90 Fletching. Amethyst dart tips are combined with feathers, awarding 21 Fletching experience per dart.

Amethyst dart tips can be crafted from amethyst, creating 8 amethyst dart tips and earning 60 Crafting experience for each mineral.

Amethyst darts have a +2 higher Ranged strength bonus compared to rune darts. The strongest dart type, dragon darts, have a +7 higher Ranged strength bonus advantage over amethyst darts. However, dragon darts are much more costly to use.
