The Judge of Yama is a monster encountered during the fight against Yama in Yama's Domain.

It appears after Yama triggers a phase transition upon reaching 66.6% and 33.3% of his health. The player will be placed on one end of a platform while the judge is on the other end, launching two fire surges from five potential spots. Players must navigate the stepping stones to reach the judge while avoiding its attacks. It starts with both Protect from Missiles and Protect from Melee active simultaneously but switches to Protect from Missiles and Protect from Magic after being hit by a magic attack. Hitting it with a melee attack while it is praying Protect from Missiles and Protect from Magic will cause it to switch back to Protect from Missiles and Protect from Melee, where it can be hit again with a magic attack to continue the process.

Once the player reaches the last stepping stone, the judge will stop launching surge spells and instead use a targeted AoE attack that has a 1x1 AoE that can be avoided by simply running out of the way. If the attack is targeted at the judge by stepping under it, the judge will take up to 18 damage from it.

In a contracted fight, the Judge of Yama throws two fireballs per attack rather than one, and the attack speed is increased from 5 (3.0 seconds) to 3 (1.8 seconds). This second fireball lands around the first one.

Attacks made on the judge always land as both successful and maximum hits. The judge will pray reactively towards the last used combat style against it, so two forms of combat are required in order to kill it. Once the judge is killed, the player(s) are returned to Yama's arena.
