Nezikchened is a level 187 black demon that has to be defeated three different times during the Legends' Quest. At the start of each fight, he drains the player's prayer points. Like all demons, he is vulnerable to the effects of demonbane weapons. He has a very peculiar habit of calling the player 'Vacu.' According to Gujuo, 'Vacu' was the name for shamans who could summon powerful and wise spirits, but were enslaved by the spirits for asking too much of them.
Despite being a black demon, he is not considered one for the purpose of a Slayer task. He can be fought in the Nightmare Zone after the quest is complete.
First battle
Nezikchened has possessed Ungadulu, the shaman of the Kharazi tribe. Players must use the binding book on him to reveal his true form. By splashing Ungadulu with holy water before using the binding book, Nezikchened will start the fight weakened. He will then drain the player's prayer and start attacking with melee, or magic if the player is out of reach. He can be easily defeated if Protect from Melee is used while standing next to him. Attacking him with demonbane weapons or throwing a vial of holy water at him can weaken him. This is the easiest of Nezikchened's three phases, as it is very predictable. The recommended attack style for players is ranged due to its inherent accuracy, but melee works nearly as well. It's not recommended to use magic unless you have a high magic level (75+), as his magic level of 160 makes him resistant to non-demonbane spells.
After defeating him, he will hit the player with a magic attack resembling fire bolt before disappearing, which can do upwards of 20 damage.
Second battle
Nezikchened appears again, this time disguised as the ghost Echned Zekin, an anagram for Nezikchened, and will ask players to kill the spirit Viyeldi. Players who do so will save time initially, but will have to fight Ranalph Devere, Irvig Senay and San Tojalon in the final battle. Players who do not wish to kill Viyeldi can go back and speak to Ungadulu, who will give the player a Holy force card, which can be used to weaken Nezikchened. Whichever path they choose, when players return to Echned Zekin, he will turn into Nezikchened and fight the player. Just like before, he drains the player's prayer, unless they use the holy force spell card on him first. This fight is relatively similar to the first one in terms of difficulty.
Dark dagger
If you returned the dark dagger to him rather than giving it to Ungadulu in exchange for the holy force spell, he can use it during the fight as a special attack where he throws the dagger at the player, which can do a decent amount of damage (25% of your current Hitpoints). The player will be notified of this attack via the demon saying and a chat message . The attack will either hit or be dodged, depending on the player's Agility level. If the attack is dodged, it is accompanied with the chat message , or if it hits, .

At the end of the quest, players must fight Nezikchened one last time. Before beginning the fight, it's recommended to turn on Protect from Melee, as the demon will get a few free hits while the player is stalled. He will, like before, drain prayer at the beginning and then proceed to attack with melee or a hard hitting magical attack if the player is out of melee range. An effective way to defeat the demon involves safespotting him by hiding in the trees nearby and attacking him with ranged. Melee can also be used safely for this phase with Protect from Melee active.
If players chose the "short" route during the quest and killed Viyeldi, he will also spawn Ranalph Devere, Irvig Senay, and San Tojalon one at a time before facing the player himself. Make sure your prayer points are high and Protect from Melee is on after killing each warrior, as Nezikchened will again get a few free hits before summoning the next warrior or facing you himself.
After the player has delivered the final blow to Nezikchened, he will exclaim and the player sarcastically responds and right before Nezikchened is defeated for good.

Trivia
- Nezikchened's mum was an unobtainable item that existed in the game's cache from 2005 until 2014, when it was renamed to Null. The examine text states that "She wasn't pleased to see what her son did."
- Nezikchened's magic spell resembles that of a earth strike via sound and, in-part, its texture, but the texture's colour is black and the damage is higher than the "strike" tier spells. The impact animation is also different, which looks something similar to the Flames of Zamorak spell, but a little larger in scale and with flames having a blue and purple tinge - in addition to orange and white embers floating around and above the player.
- Unlike other demons, Nezikchened does not drop any type of demonic ashes upon being defeated. He also does not drop regular ashes, like demons used to do prior to the release of demonic ashes. However, the Nightmare Zone version of Nezikchened still drops ashes.
