Smashed glass is a useless item which can be obtained in a few ways. A few can be found as item spawns in Morytania, attacking with holy water results in smashed glass appearing on the ground, and it also appears on the ground after a mourner throws a potion that reduces a player's combat stats during Mourning's End Part I.

It is similar to broken glass, but it can be traded to other players and cannot be used to light a torch.
