Jim is an imp who oversees the operation of the infernal shale mine. He is very secretive about his past due to being bound by many non-disclosure contracts. Players can sign a contract with him, and he will gift them with Jim's wet cloth to assist with mining the infernal shale.

After mentioning to Jim how hot it is in the smithy, he permanently gains a "Take-from" right-click option which can be used to receive another wet cloth.

• On release, Jim's "Take-from" right-click option had no effect and resulted in a message stating Nothing interesting happens.
• After speaking to Jim for the first time, his name changes from "Imp" to "Jim" and his examine text from Looks a little older than most imps. to A wizened old imp.
  • Despite the assertion that he looks older than most, Jim is in fact identical to common imps.
• His given name is actually Jimp, but since so many people struggle to pronounce it, he now goes by Jim.
• The parchment from Olaf's Quest is shown in the dialogue box when signing the contract with Jim.
• Jim states that his primary duty in service to Yama is fetching records, but the imp who fetches records when viewing Yama's scoreboard has a beard and hair on his head while Jim does not.
