Void Flare are entities summoned during the fight against Yama. They are classified as demonic and have 200% demonbane vulnerability, meaning that accuracy and damage increases from demonbane weapons are doubled. Additionally, players are guaranteed a maximum hit when attacking them with magic or Standard Ranged weapons.

During phases 1 and 2, Yama will spawn one Shadow and Flame flare. These will slowly fill a bar, and if allowed to do so, will heal Yama for a percentage of his health and damage players at the same time; the damage from a flare can be negated by being under the protection of the corresponding glyph. If allowed to charge and not under the protection of a glyph, they will hit the player for 42-45 damage.

During the final phase, Yama will summon shadow flares with 50% health (71 Hitpoints). Two will appear periodically throughout the fight, but one will also spawn if Yama attacks with melee. Each orb that fully charges will hit the player for 23-25 damage in the final phase.

In the equipment and material acquisition contracts, the amount of flares spawned is doubled from 2 to 4.

In the Contract of sensory clouding and Contract of divine severance, the void flares are modified so that if they are not destroyed, the resulting explosion will cause instant death if the player is not protected against them.

In the contract of divine severance and familiar acquisition, the flares that spawn have their health in phase 3 increased from 71 to 81.

In the Contract of bloodied blows, more void flares spawn when they appear and players are no longer guaranteed a max hit against them.
