A ruby harvest is a members-only item that is made by catching a ruby harvest with a butterfly jar in the inventory. This requires level 15 Hunter with a butterfly net or a magic butterfly net or level 25 Hunter without, and gives 24 experience. These butterflies can be found near the Piscatoris Hunter area (fairy ring code AKQ).

Once caught, they can be released to boost the player's Attack level by 4 + 15% of their Attack level (rounded down). In a multi-combat zone, the item may be used on another player to share the effect with them and up to three players within a 5x5 area of the target. Players must have Accept Aid toggled on to receive the boost. The empty butterfly jar will remain in the inventory after use.

With a pestle and mortar, players can combine the moth with raw hunter meat to create ruby harvest mix (2).
