The hunting technique is the same as for other salamanders. Players must bring a rope and small fishing net for each net trap they plan to set up. Clicking on a young tree will set the trap. Players can use the same rope and net over and over to catch multiple creatures.
Harralander tar may be used to bait the trap and a lit torch may be used on it to reduce the player's scent, slightly increasing chances (+5% together) of catching a salamander.
Multiple traps
Net trapping can be done with multiple traps at once, with the maximum amount of traps depending on the player's Hunter level.
Compared to hunting other salamanders, an extra trap may be set while hunting black salamanders, since they are located in the Wilderness.
