The tecu salamander is a creature found south-east of Ralos' Rise near the minimap mining icon that players can capture with the Hunter skill at level 79 by using a net trap.
Unlike other salamanders, which are caught and able to be used as weapons from the get go, the overwhelming majority of tecu salamanders are caught at their immature stage; on rare occasions, players may catch a fully grown tecu salamander that can be used as a weapon.
Tecu salamanders may be assigned as a hunters' rumour task by Guild Hunters Gilman, Aco, or Wolf.
