Embertailed jerboas are hunter creatures found in the Avium Savannah, requiring level 39 Hunter and partial completion of Eagles' peak to catch by using a box trap. Upon checking a box trap, a player will get the message You've caught an embertailed jerboa... or maybe not. and receive a jerboa tail.

As catchable variants of the jerboa, they may be assigned as a hunters' rumour task by Huntmaster Gilman or Guild Hunter Ornus, but only after Eagles' Peak has been completed.

Outside of hunting them, jerboas do not drop anything when killed in combat.
