The wild kebbit is a kebbit that players can capture with the Hunter skill at level 23 or above, using a deadfall trap, granting 128 Hunter experience. They can be found in the Piscatoris Hunter area and north of Auburnvale. Wild kebbits may be assigned as a hunters' rumour task by Huntmaster Gilman.

The hunting technique used for catching these kebbits is the deadfall trap. To set up a deadfall trap, the player will need a knife and some logs. After setting up a trap, just wait for a kebbit to get stuck underneath it. The fletching knife can be wielded and used to set up traps.

They drop kebbit claws when caught, which can be used to make spiked vambraces.
