A specimen jar is an item that is obtainable during The Dig Site quest, used to dig in the level 3 digs. Specimen jars can be obtained by searching sacks in the Digsite, or by searching the cupboard on the south wall in the west room in the Exam Centre.

In addition to being used for level 3 digs, specimen jars can be used to dig in specimen trays for charcoal and other loot.

If a player does not have a specimen jar in their inventory upon searching the specimen tray, they will be stopped by a nearby digsite workman.
