The invitation letter is a quest item used in The Dig Site to gain access to the winches. It is obtained from Terry Balando after the player has brought him the Ancient talisman. Giving it to any digsite workman grants them access to the dig shafts.

It is possible to obtain multiple letters by using the drop trick. Should the player use another letter on a workman, they will ask "What an earth are you giving me another scroll for?"
