Chemical compound is a quest item used in The Dig Site quest to blow up bricks blocking the path below the digsite. It can be lit using a tinderbox. Creating the compound requires 10 Herblore and gives 7.5 Herblore experience.

Warning: Dropping the vial will deal 65 damage to the player, but this will never kill the player, at most reducing them to a single hitpoint. If the chemical compound is dropped while the player only has a single hitpoint, they will say Ow! That really hurt! but take no damage.
