The enchanted symbol is used in Mage Arena II miniquest to find the three god bosses. It works similarly to the strange device used for Hot & Cold clue steps, though it can only be used in above-ground parts of the Wilderness, including the safe areas just outside the Ferox Enclave.

Activating the symbol prompts players to select which god to attune it to, and upon choosing one it randomly deals up to 16 damage and indicates which direction to go in the chatbox. It is possible to die from using the symbol.

Only one enchanted symbol can be owned at a time, and if lost it may be reobtained from Kolodion in the Mage Arena bank. Dying anywhere with the symbol will always cause it to be destroyed if it is not a protected item.

• Despite being parts of the Wilderness, attempting to activate the symbol in underground areas such as the Revenant Caves and the Deep Wilderness Dungeon will produce a message stating The symbol doesn't seem to work here, I should try using it in the Wilderness.
