Hunter meat

Hunter meats are a type of food with the special effect of healing twice: once immediately and then again after 7 ticks (4.2 seconds). Some have additional effects beyond that, like restoring energy. Some hunter meats require having done a number of Hunters' Rumours to cook, though they can still be eaten regardless of rumours completed.
Not all meat obtained from the Hunter skill qualifies as hunter meat, only the specific meats listed below. Notably, bird meat is not a hunter meat.
Raw meat
Raw hunter meat can combined with a jarred butterfly or moth to create hunter's mixes. They can also be given to Soar Leader Pitri to add charges to a quetzal whistle.
The raw meats can be stored in a small or large meat pouch. This can allow for extended trips collecting raw meat, however the pouch cannot be emptied outside of a bank.
Cooked meat
Hunter meats will heal an initial amount before doing so again after 7 ticks (4.2 seconds), making it heal more Hitpoints overall than other Food in its level bracket. If a second hunter meat is eaten before the second heal occurs, the pending second heal will be cancelled and replaced with the newest second heal. The second heal will not be cancelled when eating any other type of food or potion.
Eating a hunter meat while the bank interface is open will delay the second heal until the bank is closed. Eating two meats will overwrite the second heal as normal.
Players with the appropriate Cooking level can cook low tier hunter meat, but better quality meats require having completed a set amount of Hunters' Rumours before being able to cook them:
