Marlin shoals are located in Weissmere and Brittle Isle, with the former being more preferable to trawl at, despite one stop being filled with armoured krakens and necessitating a few repair kits per hour.
The listed profit assumes 460 fish caught per hour, which assumes the following:
- Players are not using the one-tick click method to increase catch rates.
- Players are not interacting with any ocean encounters.
- The player and a crewmate are using cotton trawling nets on a sloop with a camphor hull.
- The player has a crewmate baiting the shoal with fine fish offcuts.
- The player has a keg of trawler's trust.
- The player brings empty fish crates.
By using the one-tick click method (clicking the net every tick when in range of the shoal), players should expect their yield of marlin to increase by ~33%, depending on the player's luck with the shoal's skilling success rate. Additionally, the marlin shoal has a 10% chance to be replaced with a vibrant shoal, which yields slightly higher catch rates, but lasts for only two stops and also yields raw bluefin. As such, players should expect their overall haul in an hour to comprise of 5-10% bluefin.
Empty fish crates in the cargo hold will automatically be packed with fish that are deposited in the cargo hold. Each crate requires one space in the cargo hold. One should bring 10–15 fewer fish crates than spaces in the cargo hold to account for depositing the fish and a few repair kits. When emptied in the bank camphor crates are returned, which can be recharged with an ice cooler.
With a rosewood hull, players are able to constantly stay in range of the marlin shoal when accompanied with wind boosts at the required times. Alongside one-tick clicking, the best setup possible, and skillful movement, players can expect to receive 700-900 raw marlin and 100-150 raw bluefin per hour.
