Soul shards are an item obtained during the Demonic Pacts League by players who have picked the Soul Harvest relic, via harvesting any crops (including picking fruit at Tithe Farm or picking herbs in the Chambers of Xeric), as well as a replacement for bones and demonic ashes when killing any NPC that would otherwise drop them. Soul shards are automatically placed in the inventory providing space is available.

Soul shards can be used as a substitute for rune or pure essence while training Runecraft (including combination and sunfire runes), as well as blessed bone shards at the Teomat's libation bowl (requires 30 Prayer) to earn 550 Prayer XP per 100 shards (before Leagues multipliers); sacrificing soul shards does not require wine (jugs of blessed wine or blessed sunfire wine). Soul Shards may also be used on the Blood and Soul Altars in Kourend as a substitute for Dark essence fragments.
