Yellowfin shoals are located in Deepfin point, The Crown Jewel, and Sea of Souls. Trawling at Deepfin point is recommended. The shoal passes by a group of pygmy kraken, so some damage may be taken.

The listed profit assumes 1100 fish caught per hour. By clicking your net once per tick, the catch rate can be increased by ~33%. The yellowfin shoal is replaced with a glistening shoal 10% of the time, which also provides raw bluefin, halibut, and marlin. One should expect around 92.5% yellowfin caught, and 2.5% of the other three types of fish, although this and the catch rates in general may vary depending on luck and facilities as well as what random events the player values more than following the shoal.

The recommended setup is a sloop with two cotton trawling nets, a camphor or better hull to keep up with the shoal, a wind or gale catcher, and a large cargo hold. One crewmember should be assigned to the helm and another crewmember assigned to a trawling net. The player should operate the other trawling net.

Empty fish crates in the cargo hold will automatically be packed with fish that are deposited in the cargo hold. Each crate requires one space in the cargo hold. One should bring 10–15 fewer fish crates than spaces in the cargo hold to account for depositing the fish and a few repair kits. When emptied in the bank camphor crates are returned, which can be recharged with an ice cooler.
