When using a chum spreader, 4 yellowfin can be cut in one game tick. This results in about 11,000 yellowfins cut per hour. A chum station can be used to cut 2 per tick and an advanced chum station can be used to cut 3 per tick which results in less yellowfin cut per hour but has lower Sailing and Construction requirements. The success rate of cutting yellowfin scales linearly with Cooking level to 100% success rate, so 99 Cooking is recommended for maximum profit.
To cut the yellowfin, sail a boat with a chum facility to the bank boat. Bank to retrieve raw yellowfin, which can be used on a chum facility to create the yellow fins and fine fish offcuts.
