House keys can be obtained from pickpocketing wealthy citizens in Civitas illa Fortis at 50 Thieving. They can also be fished from the fishing spot within the park using a big fishing net.

At level 50 Thieving, house keys can be used in stealing valuables. A Thieving activity located in Civitas illa Fortis where players enter Victor's, Caius', or Lavinia's houses while they are unoccupied in order to steal valuables, after which they are consumed upon use.

Wearing a full set of rogue equipment doubles the number of house keys stolen from wealthy citizens.

Despite Oriana suggesting that the player uses them before they break, house keys do not actually break over time. They do, however, break in the door when used.
