The red topaz machete is a tribal weapon that can be used to chop Jungle on Karamja. It is the highest tier of machete, and offers the best chance to successfully cut through the jungles.

It can also be used as a weak low level weapon. The machete can be bought from Gabooty's shop after the completion of the quest Jungle Potion. This can be found in the Tai Bwo Wannai Village on Karamja. Gabooty trades the machete for 2,400 trading sticks (or 2,000 if you are wearing karamja gloves 1). Additionally, Safta Doc trades 1,200 trading sticks, a gout tuber, and three red topaz for the machete. The red topaz can be either cut or uncut.

Trivia

  • It used to be commonly used by Defence and Strength pures due to its relatively high stats for a weapon with no requirements. Its use has since been replaced by the Goblin paint cannon due to its faster attack speed, and Slayer's staff due to its high strength bonus. The Goblin paint cannon is generally favoured for training due to being the highest DPS for these accounts.
