At 10 Crafting, players can make money spinning flax to bow string. The spinning wheel in Nemus Retreat is the closest to a bank, accessible with Children of the Sun completed. Otherwise, the spinning wheel in Lumbridge castle is recommended.
Unpacking Bales of flax and using a Bow string spool, minimal banking is needed in any given hour. The default spin rate of 2,000 per hour assumes only one bank trip per hour, which requires a Bow string spool that's been upgraded at least twice (holding 2,000 bow strings). Without a Bow string spool, this rate will be closer to 1,400.
At 76 Magic the Spin Flax Lunar spell can be used as an alternative. Assuming a staff providing air runes is used, and five flax are converted per cast, it results in a profit of 530 coins per cast.
