Enchanted dragon bolts are used in a variety of PVM and PVP scenarios, so adding gem bolt tips to bolts can be profitable. This guide will automatically show the highest profiting gem-tipped dragon bolts that are above 27,000 in daily volume, but it can still be advisable to diversify which gem-tipped dragon bolts you fletch to be able to sell all of it. Before purchasing materials, please consult the table below and check prices in game by buying and selling small amounts first.
Once you have your materials, use the bolt tips on the bolts. A menu will open up to make the bolts; click to make 10. Each set of ten bolts takes 1.2 seconds, so 100 bolts takes 12 seconds. After every set of 100, use the tips on the bolts again and repeat. You can make up to 27,000 bolts an hour with this method.
Note that because this method only uses three inventory spaces, it can be used in conjunction with other money making or training methods where inventory space is not essential, such as collecting tasks where it takes time to respawn.
Currently, it is optimal to make Ruby dragon bolts, for a per-item profit of 10 coins, and it is currently trading at a volume of 633,510 per day.(update)
Gem-Tipped Bolts Price and Volume Guide
The below table details a selection of all gem-tipped dragon bolts that can be fletched. It can be useful to move on to other bolts to tip if the currently highlighted option is no longer selling. Sorting the below table by "Profit" or "Volume" can help in deciding an alternative method.
All prices are calculated using current Grand Exchange market prices, meaning the actual profit per hour may vary from what is stated here, especially for lower volume items. If you notice a discrepancy between profits listed here and profits listed on guide pages, it is possibly a caching issue. You can force this page to update by clicking here.
