Redwood logs are used to train Firemaking and make redwood birdhouses. Although less in demand than some other logs, they are still profitable.
The only locations where redwood trees can be cut are the Woodcutting Guild and the Farming Guild. The redwood tree in the Farming Guild requires the player to first grow a redwood tree (requiring level 90 Farming) and has a bank deposit box very close to the tree. On the other hand, the redwood trees in the Woodcutting Guild provide an invisible +7 Woodcutting boost which slightly increases cut speed. Depending on levels, players can chop 140–180 redwood logs (90,300–116,100 coins) per hour. Players can also obtain bird nests as long as they don't already own their maximum amount of clue scrolls or scroll boxes with the majority of bird nests coming from beginner clue nests. The amount can be increased by wearing Twitcher's gloves set to increase chance of clue nests, by player's woodcutting level and by completion of combat achievements.
