Crystal keys, made by combining Tooth half of keys with Loop half of keys, are used to open the Crystal chest in Taverley. They can also be converted to Enhanced crystal keys after completion of Song of the Elves, where they are then used to open the Elven crystal chest; this chest features a similar but substantially upgraded drop table relative to the normal crystal chest, including the unique Dragonstone armour and a very rare chance to obtain an Uncut onyx. As crystal keys are consumed on use, they are often in fairly high demand. The key halves are also far more common as drops than whole keys, so many players are willing to pay a convenience fee to skip the combination process.
Multiple crystal keys can be made in one game tick. As such, this guide assumes an approximation of one key created per tick with some built in leeway for banking. Your actual profit will vary greatly based on your speed and clicking accuracy. You can adjust the values on this page to see your profit potential by changing the number in the "Crystal keys created" box at the top of the page according to your personal capabilities.
Crystal keys can only be manually created, they will not automatically process after putting together one pair of halves. It is recommended to place one of each key half in the 24th and 28th space within your inventory, as shown in the image in the table above, to minimize the distance you must move your cursor.
