The best place to plant flower seeds is near a bank where there are walls 2 tiles from each other in the east-to-west direction. This allows you to stay relatively near the bank, meaning faster banking and more profit per hour. A good example of this is the top floor of Lumbridge Castle.
Clicking seeds and while holding "1" is the fastest way to plant then pick up the flowers, allowing players to harvest 2000+ flowers per hour. As soon as the chat message appears for picking up the flowers, you can click the next seed in your inventory. The character will quickly pick up the flower and also plant the next seed.
Both mithril seeds and adamant seeds give the same flowers as drops, so it is recommended to plant whichever seeds are cheapest. Adamant seeds are currently cheaper to buy on the Grand Exchange. Black flowers and white flowers are very uncommon, if those do not drop, the average profit per seed planted is about 92.17.
