Count Check is a man pretending to be a vampyre who appears as a random event. The Count appears near players and asks them about their account's security settings. If players are using a Jagex Account and have a Bank PIN set, he will give player a lamp which grants 10 times experience of the current level in a skill of choice. Count Check is one of three events which will follow players into banks and will not despawn at banks, alongside Dr Jekyll and the Genie.

If the player is not using a Jagex Account or has no Bank PIN set, no items are rewarded. The Jagex Account requirement is waived on worlds for temporary game modes and the permanent Deadman mode world, and the Bank PIN requirement is waived for Ultimate Ironmen.

If Count Check finds the player's Account Security lacking, the Count will instead offer the player some advice about how to improve it. Once the player has improved their account security, they will be able to visit him in Lumbridge to claim one XP Lamp, as long as the player has never received a reward from him before.^[1]
