The chests found inside the maze random event can be opened by the player to obtain various lower-tier loot. As opening these chests takes time and thus reward potential away, it is recommended that players looking to maximise the value of their loot from the maze instead ignore the chests and try to reach the strange shrine as fast as possible.
Chests will automatically close after 60 seconds, at which time they can be searched again for more loot. The timer is paused while the chest dialogue box is open, so this can be used to receive multiple rewards from a single chest before the timer runs out.
