Kiss the frog is a random event. The player must either kiss or pat the frog wearing the crown, who is really a prince or princess, in order to restore them to their true form. The newly transformed prince or princess will give you a frog token for helping them, and this may be redeemed at the Varrock clothes shop to get a frog mask, a royal frog costume, or an experience lamp.
The area to which players are teleported if they request to be turned into a frog.
Prior to random events being optional, ignoring them caused the player to be turned into a frog, and then sent to Frogland, where players must ask for forgiveness from the frog prince or princess. This would also happen if the player talked to the correct frog but refused to kiss them.
After random events became optional, you will no longer be teleported automatically for ignoring the event. Now the player must talk to the prince or princess then request to become a frog to be sent to Frogland.
As a frog, a player only has 4 buttons available: Friend and Ignore list, Logout, and Music Player.
Kiss the frog random event can now also be completed by patting the royals on the head.
The gender of the royal is no longer dependent on the player character's gender.
Players may now choose between all rewards from this event regardless of which body type your character has.
Trivia
This is the only random event in which a player used to get a reward (access to the Frogland music track) for ignoring the random event. The song is now unlocked automatically, and ignoring the random event simply dismisses it with no effect. (Players can still be sent to Frogland by speaking to the frog prince or princess and requesting to become a frog as well.)
There is a glitch that if you receive the random event while transformed by a Greegree and try to talk to the prince/princess, the event will simply disappear, without any animations like the dismiss option.
Occasionally the gender of the overhead dialogue will not match the gender of the crowned frog, seemingly due to the overhead dialogue using the opposite of the player's pronouns but the crowned frog's gender being randomly chosen.
