The Surprise Exam is a random event where the player is asked to answer a few questions. The dunce will teleport the player to a classroom where the exam can be started.

Mr. Mordaut will ask the player two types of questions. One type requires the next object in a pattern to be found. In the second type, he will present fifteen cards and a hint. The goal is to discover three cards related to the hint displayed on the right. The player must then select the three related objects and confirm.

If the exam is successfully completed, the player will be rewarded with a book of knowledge after leaving the classroom. The event can be left before completion by exiting the classroom through any door, although doing so grants no rewards.

• Although each door has a different shape and colour on it, there is no functional difference between them. Previously, players would be assigned a specific door to exit the room after the quiz as an anti-botting measure.
• If a player were to pass the exam and then log out or hop worlds before leaving the event, upon login, they would return to where they were prior to the event without any rewards.
