The Mysterious Figure is an assassin hired by Enakhra^[1] encountered during the quest Desert Treasure II - The Fallen Empire. After the player has obtained and placed one medallion, she will sometimes appear and attack players when they have one or more medallions in their inventory, similar to the stranger from Desert Treasure I.

The Mysterious Figure also appears near the end of the quest when the player is carrying the final medallion; she ambushes the player outside the Ancient Vault and teleports them to an inaccessible part of Enakhra's Temple, where the player fights her for the last time.

She is far more aggressive and lethal than the stranger from Desert Treasure I, as she is capable of using protection prayers, attacks with all 3 combat styles, can Tele Block and freeze the player, and will return to ambush the player even if they defeat her. She can even follow the player into their own house, and can disguise herself as the sandwich lady random event. She can also appear when the player attempts to use a fairy ring.

As the player can be ambushed by her soon after receiving one of the medallions, and defeating her will not prevent her from returning, it is advised to run away from her and deposit the medallion in the Ancient Vault immediately.

If a player dies to a Mysterious Figure outside of the last battle, they will respawn in a locked cell. The player can retrieve their items by lockpicking the door and interacting with the chest in the room, leaving the area will place the player south of the sandstone quarry.

• She may appear upon teleporting to one's player-owned house while carrying a medallion in their inventory. In the event that this occurs, she will say Welcome home, [name]. Now, give me the medallion! or Nice house, [name]. Now, give me the medallion! If you leave your house after encountering her, then return, she will say Welcome back, [name]. Now, give me the medallion! or I'm still here, [name]. Now, give me the medallion!. She can safely be avoided by entering in Build Mode.
• If the Mysterious Figure spawns in your house, they will stay stuck in your house until you deliver the medallion to the Ancient Vault.
• Logging out while the medallion is in your inventory will NOT despawn the Mysterious Figure.
• She may invade random events if the player is teleported to one at the same time that she spawns.
• She will not attack a player in a Free-to-Play world.
• Attempting to attack a Mysterious Figure summoned for another player will give the message She isn't after you. Best not to get involved.

• If she defeats the player in combat, one possible phrase for her to say is Sit down! This is a reference to how player killers will often say "Sit" or similar phrases upon killing other players.
• She appears to use a standard spellbook or jewellery teleport to leave the scene after defeating a player.
• Her last words upon being defeated are A worthy foe.... The music track that plays upon encounters with her is also called A Worthy Foe.
• During the Trailblazer Reloaded League, the guardian thrall summoned by the Guardian relic had a small chance of transforming into the Mysterious Figure if the player had the Desert region unlocked. This could be done by using the "Change-outfit" option on the guardian horn.
