The superior shadow torch is an item used during Desert Treasure II - The Fallen Empire, where it is obtained by searching Ketla's workbench in her house after giving her the superior shadow torch schematic.

It is used to destroy the shadow tentacles that block the entrances to various buildings in the Shadow Realm.

Once players are rescued by Ketla from the illusion in the Silent Choir's church, the torch will automatically be upgraded to a perfected shadow torch upon claiming it from the workbench.
