The shadow blocker is an item used during Desert Treasure II - The Fallen Empire, where it is obtained by searching Ketla's workbench in her house in the Lassar Undercity's Residential District after giving her the shadow blocker schematic.

When placed in the Undercity, being next to it will protect the player's sanity when they enter the Shadow Realm. When players exit the Shadow Realm, the blackstone fragment can recall it back to the player's inventory from wherever they were placed.
