The Custodia Mountains are a mountain range that separates Varlamore and the Kebos Lowlands, which are accessible after completion of the Children of the Sun quest. They were first explored by refugees escaping from Xeric during the Age of Strife. Travel between Auburnvale and the Kebos Lowlands is possible by walking through the mountains once player has unlocked both Varlamore and Great Kourend. A closed gatehouse blocks the path to the Stranglewood.

North of the mountains is the bridge connecting the Kebos Lowlands to the Kingdom of Varlamore across the border. On the southern side of the border is secured by Varlamorian border guards and on the northern side by Shayzien's soldiers with a sergeant.

Custodia Pass is a mountain pass connecting Auburnvale to Custodia's lake.

The central lake has rowboats to cross it, enabling travel between Varlamore and the Kebos Lowlands sides of the mountains. It also has several fly fishing spots on both sides.

A mine north of the central lake contains iron rocks, coal rocks, mithril rocks. Four yew trees can be found nearby.

The Stalker Den dungeon can be found within the mountain range, accessible during and after the Shadows of Custodia quest, containing custodian stalkers that can be slain with varying Slayer requirements of 54, 67, and 76.

• Given how strongly Varlamore is influenced by Mesoamerican and South American civilizations, it is likely that the Custodia Mountains are partially inspired by the real world Andes Mountains.
• "Custodia" is a Latin word that means "guardian" or "safekeeping". As such, the name carries a deeper meaning given the mountains' role in the refugees' escape.
