The Hailstorm Mountains are a mountain range in Varlamore, separating the Avium Savannah and Civitas illa Fortis from other major settlements of the kingdom, such as Tal Teklan and Tempestus. It is one of two mountain ranges, the other being the Custodia Mountains that abuts the Kebos Lowlands.
The Colossal Wyrm was believed to have originated from deep within the Hailstorm Mountains before settling in the Avium Savannah until its defeat sometime before the end of the War of the Five Houses in Great Kourend.
The range has some of the continent's highest peaks, which surrounds the Quetzacalli Gorge, and include the following peaks:
