The Proudspire is the largest mountain within Varlamore, being part of the Hailstorm Mountains, the range flanking the capital of Civitas illa Fortis. It is famous enough that Emperor Imafore Tullus gave the Kourend royal family a tour of "the peak of the Proudspire", among other places.^[1]

The Proudspire is mainly visited by players through Treasure Trails, directing them to dig near the obelisk. There are two Agility shortcuts on the path to the peak, with the lower shortcut requiring 45 Agility and the upper shortcut requiring 71 Agility. Other than that, there are currently no other useful features at its peak. The Twilight Temple teleport on the pendant of ates is the closest teleport. Slightly further, the peak is equidistant from the Quetzacalli Gorge quetzal and Salvager Overlook quetzal. Players may wish to bring a stamina potion as it is nearly 400 tiles from the peak to any teleport if not using the shortcuts.

The mountain is a holy site within the Varlamorian religion of Losanium. Accordingly, it is overseen by two teoki: Yolotli and Ezco. Dedicated followers of Losanium may undertake a sacred pilgrimage, walking from the Teomat, past Mons Gratia, to the obelisk atop the Proudspire.

The Proudspire was also the site of a key battle during the War of Betrayal that led to the capture and execution of Emperor Imafore.^[2]

The obelisk at the peak of Proudspire is a large monument of reddish-brown stone with carvings depicting various figures on its four sides and is surrounded by four carved statues of hands reaching up from the ground. The bottom of the north face of the obelisk appears to be "leaking" some form of purple liquid or corruption, but cannot currently be entered into. Based on the four hand statues surrounding the obelisk, it may be depicting a nagua, who have four arms and therefore four hands.

The obelisk's exact origins and purpose are unknown, but it remains sacred to the people of Varlamore since it was of religious importance to the Old Ones, who built it.^[3] In particular, the Sect of Ranul is interested in the obelisk because of how it signifies the importance of preserving knowledge.^[4]
