The Galarpos Mountains are part of a mountain range in Western Kandarin and Eastern Tirannwn, which separates Tirannwn from the rest of the mainland. For a long time, the mountains were largely thought to be impassable. The only routes available past the mountains are either through the Underground Pass or through the Arandar mountain pass.
Arposandra, translating in ancient gnomish to "Rock City", is located somewhere beneath the mountain range.
Trivia
- Galar pos is Welsh (as is the majority of Elven related things) for "mourning puzzle", which may refer to the Underground Pass or the Temple of Light.
- Gal arpos also translates to "All Rock" or "All Stone" in Ancient Gnomish.
- In RuneScape Classic they were referred to as "Impassable mountain terrain" on the official world map.
