The fire pit is a building spot in the Museum Camp on Fossil Island, where the player can build a cooking pot. Building it requires level 24 Construction, 3 soft clay, 1 iron bar, and 2 logs and gives 800 experience, and once it is built it functions like a normal range. John and David can be seen sitting around the fire, the latter of which requests the player to build a stove, despite only being able to build a cooking pot here.

• Next to the cooking pot sits a frying pan which contains green-coloured eggs and bacon. This is a reference to the Dr. Seuss book Green Eggs and Ham – the player speaks in Seussian verse while explaining to David that the eggs' odd colour is due to the birds on Fossil Island being "a little exotic". David begrudgingly samples the green eggs and concludes they taste "nice".^[1]
• The cooking pot's model (including the green eggs, inexplicably) is reused by the cooking pot on The Pandemonium and the cooking stove in Neypotzli.
