A hoop snake is an item obtained from stunning a hoop snake NPC by using a crush attack (including being unarmed), then picking up the stunned snake. Hoop snakes can be rolled in any direction, but are used primarily to stun tar monsters. Players can also stun them when they appear as tar bubbles, allowing safe passage through the Tar Swamp.

• Even though the hoop snake item cannot be dropped, the hoop snake item can appear on the ground if you attempt to pick it up with full inventory, which shows the snake laying still with its mouth around its tail.
